<p><strong><a href="../../wine-jaqk-cellars-wine-collection-california/22-black"><img title="JAQK Cellars 22 Black Cabernet Sauvignon" src="../wp-content/uploads/2011/06/JAQK_22Black.tif" alt="" /></a>SHRIMP STIR FRY WITH SHIRATAKI NOODLES<br />
</strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #85aaae;">Ingredients:</span><br />
1-2 red peppers, cut into slices<br />
1 head of broccoli, florets only<br />
6-8 brown mushroom caps, halved and sliced<br />
1 zucchini, sliced into thin strips<br />
1 carrot, sliced or shredded<br />
1/2 yellow onion, diced<br />
1 cup of frozen, salad-sized shrimp (defrosted)<br />
1 package of Shirataki noodles (tofu noodles, can be found at most grocery stores)</p>
<p><span style="color: #85aaae;">Sauce:</span><br />
1 TB ginger, finely chopped<br />
1 TB toasted sesame oil<br />
3 TB low sodium soy sauce<br />
1/2 TB yellow miso<br />
1/2 TB Sriracha (or more, if you like it extra spicy)<br />
2 cloves garlic, chopped</p>
<p><span style="color: #85aaae;">Directions:</span><br />
1. Prepare the sauce. Mix all ingredients into a small bowl and whisk until combined. Set aside.<br />
2. Under high-medium heat, coat a wok or a large non-stick pan with cooking spray.<br />
3. Boil a pot of water for noodles.<br />
4. Drain and rinse Shirataki noodles thoroughly.<br />
5. Add onions, pepper, and carrots to wok and saute for 3 minutes.<br />
6. Add broccoli, mushrooms and zucchini to wok and saute for 3 minutes.<br />
7. Once water is boiling, add noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes.<br />
8. Add shrimp to the wok and 2/3 of the sauce. Toss to combine.<br />
9. Once the noodles are cooked, add to the wok with the remainder of the sauce and toss to combine.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Serve with Charmed Sauvignon Blanc and enjoy!</p>

1/4 cup drained sun-dried tomatoes<br />
1 small garlic clove, chopped<br />
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper<br />
1/2 teaspoon salt<br />
1 egg<br />
2/3 cups canola oil</p>
<p><span style="color: #88b2b1;">Directions:</span><br />
1. Mince garlic in bowl of food processor.<br />
2. Add remaining ingredients except for oil and mix.<br />
3. Add oil in a slow steady stream.<br />
*if you do not own a food processor, combine first four ingredients with 1 cup light mayonnaise.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><strong>BUFFALO SLIDERS<br />
</strong></span><span style="color: #88b2b1;">Ingredients:</span><br />
2 lbs ground buffalo meat<br />
1 egg yolk, beat<br />
1 shallot, chopped<br />
1 teaspoon dried thyme<br />
1 teaspoon garlic powder<br />
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce<br />
salt and pepper, to taste</p>
<p><span style="color: #88b2b1;">Directions:</span><br />
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mix well.<br />
2. Spoon 3 tablespoons of mixture into a ball and place on tray. Continue with remaining mixture.<br />
3. Grill sliders 4 minutes on each side, then place on toasted mini bun.<br />
4. Top with aioli and serve.<br />
*You may prepare in advance and refrigerate for 2 hours, or overnight.</p>

The tasting fee is $35 per person.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are incredibly honored that all eight wines from JAQK Cellars have been acquired by and are featured in San Francisco Museum of Modern Art&#8217;s current exhibit <em><a href="http://www.sfmoma.org/exhibitions/406" target="_blank">How Wine Became Modern</a>. </em>This exhibit is the first of its kind, looking at the world of wine and the role that architecture, design and media have played in its stunning transformation over the past three decades. The exhibit features historical artifacts, architectural models, multimedia installations, newly commissioned artworks, and even a &#8220;smell wall&#8221; to provide a richly textured experience that you won’t want to miss!</p>
<p>The exhibit runs from November 20, 2010 to April 17, 2011. While you&#8217;re there, be sure to stop by the <a href="http://www.sfmoma.org/press/releases/news/861" target="_blank">Museum Store</a> to see a collection of wine-related products created by <a href="http://jaqkcellars.com/about-meet-the-players-katie-jain-joel-templin" target="_blank">Joel &amp; Katie&#8217;s</a> firm, <a href="http://www.hatchsf.com" target="_blank">Hatch Design</a>, especially for the event.</p>

Craig&#8217;s craftsmanship is readily evident in our latest full house of eight varietals. At the uncorking, he shared that he believes the 2007 High Roller Cabernet is among the best he has crafted in his 26 years of wine making.</p>

<p>You&#8217;ll be able to taste the JAQK Cellars family of wines with Winemaker, Craig MacLean (formerly of Cain Vineyards, Spring Mountain Vineyards, Chappellet, and others), while enjoying delicious hors d&#8217;oeuvres.</p>
<p>Chef Justin Deering (who earned his cooking chops at Boulevard, Jeanty at Jack&#8217;s, Fifth Floor, and Tra Vigne) will present a selection of delectable appetizers to complement our family of wines. You&#8217;ll get to sample the crisp, mouth-watering &#8216;Charmed&#8217; Sauvignon Blanc; the smooth, delicately viscous &#8216;Pearl Handle&#8217; Chardonnay; the juicy &#8216;Soldiers of Fortune&#8217; Shiraz; and the pinnacle of Napa Valley splendor, &#8216;High Roller&#8217; Cabernet, among others.</p>
